Bashutai

Made sure I sat on the non cliff side of the bus as it wound its way along the mountain side. Not that it would help if we drove over the side, some parts had well over 200m straight drop. Was a nice bus ride in the end the driver went faster than I would have but im assuming (hopeing) he knew the road. Was in Baishutai within an hour thirty, got dropped off at a nice little guesthouse, then went for a wander around the White terraces which are made up of limestone deposits, with my unoffical guide, who was the local photographer, he took a few shots of me and printed them off and laminated them. After that went for a wander by myself, then had some lunch of Yak meat, naxi bread and rice followed by chilling at my guesthouse for a while, in both senses of the word as it was a bit nippy.

Didnt expect any backpackers to show up in town but three Aussies from Perth did along with Dorit and Eyal the Israli couple I met in Lijaing and started the gorge trek with. So had another feed with them then showed them the sights around the terraces and took some more photos. Had dinner with everyone, a chicken killed especially for us and some veges and rice. Drank a few beers and yarned.

Got up early and had another look around the terraces with Dorit and Eyal then we all jumped on the bus to Zongdian.
