Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria

Nice little town perched on the hilly banks of a river with an old citadel overlooking the town. Touristy but not overrun at this time of the year and a good stop off between Sofia and Istanbul. Spent a few days here, a nice place to relax after a hectic couple of weeks of constant travel. Beer is cheap and had a nice sit down meal. Did a couple of nice walks on the small hills overlooking town.
