Mostar, Bosnia

Had an interesting bus ride with a young English lad called James from Kotor to here via Dubrovnik. Crossed the Montenegro to Croatia border which took awhile then jumped off the bus in Dubrovnik and ran around changing money to Kuna so I could buy the onwards bus ticket, I then had to pay to put my bags back on the same bus. Just made it back on the bus before it left, then crossed the small strip of coast Bosnia has, the back into Croatia and finally into Bosnia. We then stopped and had to change buses before we finally got into Mostar.

Mostar is a really cool town, small and easy to get around with a old section next to the Ottoman style Stari Most (mostar bridge) which is its most famous sight. Has a lot of damage from the war and was shelled by both the Croats and the Serbs. Alot of the buildings around town still have bullets and bomb damage on the walls.

Local lads jump off the 21m high bridge, I wanted to give it ago but you have to pay 25 euros for the privilege so gave up on that idea. Stayed in a good place next to the bus/rail station where I met a few fellow travelers. Went out both nights I was in town, was good. Ali Barbers bar was a good laugh set up in cave, was packed both nights playing cheesy techno music.
