Thessaloniki

Glad I stopped here, was just going to pass straight through but decided to get up early in Kalambaka and jump on a train to Thess and spend the day before heading on to Istanbul on the overnight train. Checked out most of the sights thanks to the very helpful info office who gave me a shopping bag full of maps and brochures. Mind you will be happy once I get to Istanbul and out of the EU as its to expensive.
