Nice little tourist town on the banks of the Mekong river in the North of Laos. Has loads of temples and historic buildings. Arrived a bit arfter the guys as they took a minibus and I was after a public bus, ended up on the express bus, saved myself a dollar by walking the short distance to the bus station ;) and booking there. Road from Vang Vieng was fuckin windy, all the locals on the bus were puking there guts out.
Had arranged to meet the Engish dudes at Nazims, a Indian resteraunt that is faily popular and has amny branches around Laos. There was an Nazims across the road from my guesthouse so assumed it was it, waited a bit then asked and found out there were 3 Nazims in Luang Prabang...woops found the guys about 1/2 an hour later and had a Inadian feed.
Met up with the dudes the next day and we got a truck out to the big waterfall. Was really nice, did a nice walk to the top of the falls, was funny watching Andy hop along as he had bruised his toes tubing but cant remeber how as he was to hammmered.
