Tirana, Albania

Noisy, dusty, dirty, colorful place with little traffic rules and a chaotic feel, Concrete structures everywhere, most painted in bright colours and patterns, a weird mix of ottoman, Italian, communist past all mixed together.

Stayed in a good hostel and met loads of fellow backpackers most a bit more interesting than the generic crowd you tend to run into on the beaten track. Some had come down from Montenegro some across from Macedonia like myself and some up from the South i.e Greece and even the odd one across from Italy. Good as I was able to get more info on the south as that's were I'm headed. Some German guys had an FHM with 15 very hot girls in it. Got asked to rank them from 1 to 15. They are getting loads of guys from around the globe to do it and are going to correlate the results and maybe even sent them in to FHM, also going to email the results out to the blokes who did the survey.

Did some sightseeing in town although there are no real big impressive sights to see. Went up the Sky tower (a bit rougher than the Auckland one) with an Aussie and a beer and stuck around for one rotation and took some photos.

Caught up with Ryan an Aussie who I had travelled a bit of Bosnia and Serbia with.

I like the feel of Albania, rough and interesting is a good way to sum it up.
