Fethiye and the Lycian Way

Stayed a couple of nights in Fethiye, was thinking of doing a 4 day 3 night boat trip but its pretty expensive so just did a day trip on a bathtub of a boat, was nice had a water slide and a diving platform, and included lunch and hotel pickup for 25 lira probably the best value for money thing I've done in Turkey. Met an American guy who was keen to do a couple of days on the Lycian way a big walking trail that has the tail head near Fethiye. So stored my bag at the hostel and went hiking, was fucking hot somewhere around 40 degrees. Fantastic views of Oludinez beach and the coastline. Walked 25 kms on first day pretty hard work, I drunk about 4 litres but drank 8 litres. Met some Young English lads walking the trail as there holidays from uni, doing 20 odd days of it. We all slept on a beach had some hassles from the camping grounds there but after dark they gave up on us.
Headed out early the next morning and climbed up 800 odd metres, we ended up cutting out once we hit a road, caught a ride with some bee keepers to the nearest dolmus stop where we caught a bus back to Fethiye. All up walked around 35kms was good, wish I had more time to do some more but have to get up to Istanbul and get my visa sorted for Iran. Caught up with the 4 kiwis I met on my Galpolli tour back in Fethiye before jumping on an overnight bus up to Istanbul.
