Ko Lanta

Left Ko Pha-Ngan once everyone had caught up on sleep, the ferry was OK but we had some difficulty with our minivan from Surat Thani to Krabi, was supposed to show up at 3:30pm ended up arriving at 5:50pm, then we ended up mucking around picking up a total of 16 people in a van with seats for 12 pax, crazy, got to Krabi at 9pm where they dropped us at the bus station 4km out of town, bandits. Oh well we got there in one piece with all our gear.

Stayed the night in Krabi town had a good feed at the night market. Had a walk round in the morning then caught a minivan to Ko Lanta. Caught two car ferry's to get there. Spent most of our time on Kantieng beach, which has waves, clean sand and good body surfing. Lanta on the whole was pretty dead, low season means low season there, but accommodation was cheap as it is a buyers market. I hired a bike for a couple of days and checked out the sights. Hayden and I went caving, was great fun got muddy as. Big caverns and tiny crawl holes was not a hard out limestone cave, and only had a few bats. Spent about 1 hour underground. Had lunch at a restaurant with wicked views. mostly swam during the 4 days we were there.
