Palmyra (Tadmor)

Got chucked off our bus in the dark on the highway outside of town and started to walk in ended up haggling with a few taxis before one took us into town for an ok price. Checked out a few hotels and then went out to grab a feed and ended up having a few beers with a Scottish guy who works for an oil company and is working in Syria at the moment.

The next day we headed out into the roman ruins which had many, many columns, a few temples and some old watch towers. All in all a very impressive site. Spent most of the day wandering about taking photos. Watched the sunset from an old desert castle on a hill above the ruins. We met a Canadian dude there and had dinner with him. then a few beers. The next day jumped on a bus to Homs.
