Tabriz, Iran

Tabriz is out in the west of Iran where most of the population are Azerbaijanis and speak Turkish. its a big city at 1.4 million but has a fairly compact down town which is good as it made finding a cheap hotel easy. Enjoyed my stay in Tabriz, made it out to El Goli a really nice gardens about 10km from the CBD, the Iranians know how to make a nice garden and they definitely make use of them.

Ramadan was in full swing which meant no eating and drinking in Public during daylight hours for me. Hard work as daylight savings was still in force, so it did not get dark until around 8pm. Alot of sneaking into alleys to take a drink of water and taking food and snacks back to my hotel during the day.
